Mr. Dailey was assigned to be my public defender for a drug possession charge. I met with him for 10 min 2 times right before I seen the judge. He didn't bother explaining any options that I had. He never gave me a telephone number I could contact him at. He told me what I wanted to hear; I would be ...released on probation no big deal. When it came time for sentencing I received 6 months in county, I was shocked! Mr Dailey could see that I became upset. The judge dismissed me and Mr. Dailey was gone before I had a chance to talk to him. While I was serving my 6 months I had lots of time to think about things and decided that maybe it was better to just do my time altogether and forget about probation. So I filed a petition to revoke my probation.. And I was assigned Mr. Dailey again! And just like the other 2 times I met him right before it was time to see the judge and he was rushed and he didn't even understand what I was wanting to do. So I really started to panic, I decided to withdraw my motion. THEN while we get in front of the judge he starts bringing up stuff that wasn't necessary and could of have had a negative impact on my situation. If you or someone u know gets him assigned as their public defender, you might wanna get somebody different bc the only thing that matters to him is his check the state pays him for acting as an attorney.
