Jacob Faussette

I’m guilty of what most are, a preconceived notion of how someone or something will be or turn out, before allowing a fair chance. In other words, I didn’t let the fat kid play quarterback...turns out he had a damn good arm. Jacob Fausette, in every way, shattered my perception of public defenders. K...eep in mind, he also has a law firm with his brother, along with the grueling docket of cases handed charged to him by the state. Well, I assumed I would get little to nothing from Mr. Fausette, and could you, could me, could anyone really blame him. I don’t think so. Now, hear I am, telling you how WRONG I was. The outcome, in light of my legal circumstances, turned out better than I could have ever hoped, thanks to Mr. Fausette. He got a better outcome than perhaps spending thousands of dollars or hiring five different attorneys could’ve gotten me. He was persistent, he showed conviction and here I am praising him for his efforts. He negotiated tirelessly with the prosecutor, and would not just settle for an easy plea. He is sharp, straight to the point, and willing to actually listen to your side of things and fight for the outcome you hope for. He knows the law and is experienced working with many of the judges and state attorneys. Myself, along with many others who put themselves in the hands of attorneys who are also human and tired and overworked and work based on pay, are lucky and should be grateful to have a lawyer like Mr. Fausette. Is this a new standard that Mr. Fausette is creating? Probably not, however, it’s great to know that lawyers like Jacob Fausette are available to those who may not be able to fork out a few hundred bucks an hour for his or her attention or services. I can’t imagaine what paying Mr. Fausette would get you. Atticus Finch...well, certainly an ode. Thank you, Mr. Fausette, an ode to Atticus indeed.
