William E Frazier

Mr. Frazier joined Bangerter Frazier Group (then Bangerter Sheppard) as an associate in 2005. His primary areas of practice are insurance defense, personal injury, professional negligence, and general civil litigation. Additional areas of practice include estate planning, representation of construction trades, and benefits planning for persons with disabilities. Bill became a partner of the firm in December 2012. He was appointed by the Utah Supreme Court as a Judge Pro Tem for the Washington County Justice Court in 2012.

Bill is licensed in the states of California, Utah, Nevada, and Washington. He handles litigated matters from inception through trial. He has been counsel of record for a number of recent high dollar, high exposure cases, and has secured excellent results for the firm's clients.

Recent Examples of Case Results:

• Secured multi-million dollar settlement in wrongful death action on behalf of decedent's heirs in St. George, Utah in September 2013 (Livings v. A-T Asphalt, Tri-West Construction and Development, et al)
• Obtained outright dismissal of cross-complaint against client with no funds paid whatsoever in a contentiously litigated matter in Los Angeles County, California in August 2013 (El Camino v. Landgrave, et al)
• Obtained a jury verdict for $5,985,000 in favor of client in complex public works construction dispute in Riverside County, California in March 2013 (Gotte Electric, Inc. v. ASR Constructors, Inc.). After court costs and attorney fees awarded by the court, total verdict with costs exceeded $6,500,000.
• Obtained jury verdict of less than $216,000 against defendant/client when over $10,000,000 was sought by Plaintiff in a traumatic brain injury case in Alameda County, California in 2010 (McQueen v. OSLC). Since the verdict was below the amount offered by way of statutory offer to compromise, Plaintiff had to pay OSLC's expert fees and litigation costs, totaling over $100,000.
• Obtained defense verdict in favor of client after lengthy jury trial in Mendocino County, California in 2009 (Berry v. DVCS).
• Obtained acquittal of client in juvenile court in case alleging multiple felonies in Washington County, Utah in 2012 (State of Utah v. Confidential)
• Obtained acquittal of client in criminal matter alleging multiple offenses in Washington County, Utah in 2010 (State of Utah v. Confidential)
• Obtained jury verdict in excess of $136,000 in auto vs auto collision with modest injuries and no surgery in San Mateo County, California (Confidential v. Emcor)
• Obtained outright defense verdict in arbitration in slip & fall case filed against a religious organization in Santa Clara County, California. (Salim v. County of Santa Clara & South Bay Islamic Association)

Prior to entering the legal profession, Bill worked in social services, developing and directing vocational programs for persons with disabilities. Bill  is certified by the Social Security Administration, in collaboration with Virginia Commonwealth University, as a benefits planning, assistance, and outreach counselor. Bill also provides estate planning and trust administration assistance for clients in California and Utah.
