William L Fillmore

I practiced law initially with a major regional law firm in Denver, Colorado (Holland & Hart), and then with a boutique firm in Colorado Springs for a couple of years, before returning to Utah to practice with an outstanding Northern Utah firm in Logan (Olson & Hoggan). After several years there, I received an invitation to serve as Associate General Counsel at Brigham Young University. I enjoyed my service at BYU immensely, but after President Jeffrey Holland was released, I decided that it was a good time to get back into private practice. I initially managed the Provo branch office for the Salt Lake City firm of VanCott Bagley Cornwall & McCarthy, and after a few years established my own law firm in Provo, now known as Fillmore Spencer LLC, which currently has 18 attorneys.

The firm now known as Fillmore Spencer LLC was founded 21 years ago, initially under the name of Fillmore Belliston & Israelsen, primarily as a business law firm. Then 11 years ago we merged with an excellent general practice firm, which allowed us to offer legal services in virtually all areas.  Fillmore Spencer is a Provo-based, full service law firm that represents a variety of "main street" and "high tech" clients, including start-ups and established local, regional and national companies.  The firm handles all corporate and LLC matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private securities offerings, technology licensing and all commercial contracts.  We also provide quality representation in civil and criminal litigation, mediation, arbitration and appeals, bankruptcy matters, employment law, copyrights, trademarks, technology and real estate matters. My own practice focuses on all types of business matters – forming, growing and selling off companies, intellectual property licensing, real estate matters, settling business disputes, etc.
