Hire another attorney he will not hear you and keep asking for money. Hired Rex Bushman through a referral from a law clinic. Because of My financial situation I borrowed money to be able to pay him. The custody case has no grounds I have been the main caregiver for years until my ex got married and... wanted to move to a different state and take the kids. I requested through mediation to have Full custody and ex refused then my kids weren't returned to me for my parent time for months to then file change of custody. I had done all the paperwork with the clinic with all my evidence. All he was supposed to do was represent me and look at the paperwork we had worked on with the clinic and submit. He took the case didn't even look at my paperwork , response file, evidence of 18 pages and Bushman submited a page, 1 page of his version of response. When I saw what he had filed he said that he had to file something, was busy and will re file before the deadline. That never happened. But yet kept asking for money citing that he had use 5hrs with opposite counsel. Opposite counsel filed for temporary orders. Went to the hearing thinking he will represent me with all his law knowledge but didn't. The custody was temporarily granted to my ex because there was no evidence. Bushman never submitted my evidence yet charge me more to redo my paperwork since he didn't want to take what we had worked on with the clinic. The a Gal was assigned and he accepted citing it will be costly and I wouldn't afford it and didn't even ask me. Rex Bushman not only misstepresented me on my case he cost me to loose my kids. Yes It's temporary but he never presented the correct facts to the court if he would have at least read my paper work my case would have had a different outcome.
