Brady G. Stuart

Brady G. Stuart is the managing partner of Cardon, Stuart & Associates, Attorneys at Law, at 3856 Washington Blvd in Ogden, Utah. He defends people charged with DUI and criminal offenses in Weber, Davis, Box Elder, Salt Lake, Utah and Cache counties, and in courts throughout the state from the 1st District in Logan to the 5th District in St. George.

Brady earned his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, where he also completed his undergraduate work. He is a member of the Utah State Bar (Bar No. 13591), is admitted before the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, and belongs to the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

A large share of his practice is DUI defense under Utah's 0.05 percent BAC limit, the strictest threshold in the country. He examines whether the stop was lawful, whether field sobriety tests followed NHTSA procedure, whether the breath instrument was properly calibrated and certified, and whether blood draws met chain-of-custody requirements, and he files motions to suppress when the record supports it. He makes sure every DUI client understands the 10-day deadline to request a Driver License Division hearing, because missing it can cost a license even when the criminal case goes well.

Alongside DUI work, Brady handles felony and misdemeanor matters including drug charges, assault, domestic violence, weapons offenses, theft and white collar allegations, plus probation violations, expungements, 402 reductions, criminal appeals and personal injury claims. He tries cases, and prosecutors tend to offer better resolutions to defendants whose counsel is genuinely prepared for trial.
