I hired Kris in an effort to terminate alimony that I owed to my ex-wife for over 10 more years. My alimony bill was extremely high and while my ex-wife had moved on with another man, she was extremely determined to protect her spousal support. Kris came highly recommended in regards to alimony cases... so I met with him and discussed all the in’s and outs of my case in an effort to see if I had legal grounds to move forward. It was a very complicated case as my ex-wife was extremely careful to keep separate addresses with her boyfriend even though they spent most nights together, spent holidays and special occasions together, and basically blended their families together. My case went on over the course of 10 months as we collected evidence and filed the proper motions to move the case forward. In the end, I saw something I thought I’d never see: Kris put so much pressure on my ex-wife that she walked away from the remaining 10 years of her alimony in a settlement that ended my alimony obligation within 60 days. While it ultimately ended up being my decision to accept the settlement in an effort to immediately end future legal fee’s and court costs, I’m completely confident that the case Kris had compiled against my ex-wife was going to prevail should we have gone through future hearings and even a trial. Obviously, my ex-wife and her council felt the same way as they showed absolutely no interest in letting this play out in the courts.
