Practice Summary
Braden joined Bearnson & Caldwell, LLC in 2018 as an associate attorney where he practices in civil litigation, personal injury, contract disputes, business law, family law, and criminal defense. Previous to his practice, Braden was a law clerk at the Law Office of Julie M. Hamilton in San Diego, and a legal intern at the California Department of Transportation. There, he assisted with the regulatory side of litigation, as well as government contracts.
Academic Degrees
Braden began preparing for the practice of law at Brigham Young University – Idaho, where he graduated with Honors in 2013. There, he earned a B.A. in Political Science and Biology, and participated as a member of the Pre-Law Society.
After a time working at the headquarters of Eastern Idaho’s largest business, Melaleuca, Inc., Braden left to pursue a law degree in San Diego, California. At University of San Diego School of Law, Braden earned his Juris Doctor and a degree concentration in Energy and Environmental Law. In addition to his coursework, he enhanced his advocacy experience, having placed first in the annual USD Mock Trial Tournament. Also, as the Chief Articles Editor for the Journal of Climate and Energy Law, he developed strong legal writing skills. After receiving his degree in early 2018, he and his wife determined that permanently returning home to Utah was in their family’s best interest. Immediately upon graduation, Braden returned to Utah, passed the Bar Exam, and was admitted to the Utah State Bar.
Biographical Information
Braden was born and raised in Davis County, Utah, and considers it home. He, however, calls Eastern Idaho a close second, seeing his family relocated to Rigby, Idaho while he was in High School. He currently resides in Hyrum with his wife, two small boys, and one on the way. To Braden, there are few things more serene than grabbing either his mountain or road bike and going for a long ride through the countryside. At the same time, he relishes the competition of bike racing and professional cycling. When the weather is not so favorable, he also enjoys racquetball, skiing, and auto mechanics.
