James D. Lewis

Family law attorneys are notorious for costing a fortune. I understand that a divorce should not require you to spend your life savings, which is why I provide free consultations to all clients. 

Currently: I focus my practice on Family and Divorce Law, Commercial Transactions, and General Business-Related Law. My diverse practice helps me think of creative solutions to solve problems within my client's cases. I enjoy working hands on with clients in order to achieve optimal outcomes. Keeping the client informed in every step of the process is crucial to my practice. I pride myself on providing affordable representation to clients, I do not believe a client should have to go bankrupt in order to protect their rights.

My Bio: I began my legal career working at a firm that specialized in family law, before joining the offices of Lewis Hansen. I am in good standing as a member of the Utah State Bar and its family law, and litigation sections.

Graduated from the University of Utah, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in English. After completing my undergraduate degree, I obtained my law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law. While at school I worked in the Legal Clinic in the Environmental Law section. I also returned to Utah each summer to intern at various large law firms.

Outside of my law practice, I enjoy spending time with my wife and child, camping, hiking, golf, and basketball. I'm also fluent in Norwegian.

Flexible Retainer Fees: I will work with clients with retainer fees.  I understand not everyone can afford the high retainer fees that many firms require before beginning a case.
