Nina Kim Bertelli

I am an associate at Fabian VanCott, with a practice focused on corporate law, tax and estate planning, and employment law. As a corporate attorney, I have experience ranging from forming successful startup companies to complex business restructuring and domestic and international tax planning. In the employment sector, I have a dedicated focus on matters related to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).

During law school, I served as Executive Footnote Editor on the Utah Law Review. I was also an active member of the Student Litigation Society, Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, Women’s Law Caucus, and Minority Law Caucus. During my final year in law school, I competed in the 2016 National Trial Competition and also served as a Legal Methods writing course teaching assistant. Also during my final year, I was awarded the Certificate of Service for Pro-Bono Work and was chosen to speak at my law commencement ceremony.

I have volunteered at the Hartland Clinic, teaching American civics to refugees and immigrants in preparation for the USCIS naturalization exam. I also volunteer at the Family Law Clinic, Street Law Clinic, and Tuesday Night Bar, where I advise clients on matters ranging from child custody and protective orders to landlord-tenant disputes and discrimination. I am licensed to practice in Utah’s state and federal courts.
