If you want a high priced mediator disguised as an attorney, use Ellen. I would not reccomend her to anyone.

I used Ellen as my divorce attorney. My divorce was a case where I was a husband serving as the primary caregiver to my children and supported my wife throughout our 11 year marriage and through law school. In the end, I believe Ellen was biased as a woman while representing me and dealt with me an...d my case as a mediator rather than as my attorney and my advocate. She consistently advised me to make concessions in my divorce because they were easier rather than what I wanted or believed I deserved. On top of all that she was really expensive. If you want a high priced mediator disguised as an attorney, use Ellen. If you want an attorney who will be your advocate, who will listen to you and advise you about the consequences, but in the end will ask you what you want to do and will not try to talk you out of it at all costs but work with you as your advocate for what you want and feel you deserve, look elsewhere, Ellen is not for you. I regret having hired her ever day since.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
