About James
Biography
It was on a high school school trip to Washington D.C. when I discovered I wanted to become an attorney. On that trip we spent time in the capital and attended lectures on the basic operation of the law. I became passionate about our country's judicial system and have been fortunate enough to make it my career.
Apart from the practice of law, I enjoy spending time outdoors with those I love. My wife and I enjoy taking our portuguese water dog mountain biking and hiking throughout the beautiful wasatch front.
During the spring and summer my father-in-law and I take our dirt bikes on any single track we can find, and come September, my Father and I spend our weekends chasing big mule deer and elk through the Utah high country.
I am also an avid reader. My favorite genre is historical fiction. Specifically, I enjoy reading about the middle ages and early Roman history. If you have any interest in either, I highly suggest reading Sharon Kay Penman or Robert Harris. I also enjoy fantasy; "The Wheel of Time" is an all-time great!
Any attorney will tell you it's too easy to become all-consumed in this line of work. I love the practice of law; it is a noble and fulfilling profession. I try to remember, however, that it is a means to end. I always try to keep family first. Thankfully, I work with great men and women who make that possible.
