Ellysa Capson Hendriksen

Elly is a skilled attorney who specializes in divorce and criminal law. Spending the majority of her career in the courtroom, Elly understands how to effectively advocate for her clients who find themselves in the toughest of situations. Elly has successfully guided clients through trials and difficult hearings in front of judges and commissioners, and has expertly negotiated cases through hundreds of hours of mediation.

Before joining Intermountain Legal, Elly’s practice focused on divorce and custody cases, specifically taking on difficult cases where clients had complex financial or custody and parent-time issues. She is known for being a tough and creative negotiator and routinely gets outstanding and better-than-expected results for her clients.

Elly also has an extensive background in the criminal law arena. As a former Specialized Prosecutor for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office and Salt Lake County Deputy District Attorney, Elly handled all levels of cases from DUI’s to special victims, domestic violence, and sexual assault cases. With this background she transitioned to the private sector to bring her unique experience to help clients who have the odds stacked against them navigate criminal cases to obtain a fair outcome.
