I worked with Brad through a very difficult and complicated family-law case. Ultimately, our attorney-client relationship ended because there were communication and interpersonal issues that became difficult for me personally. That said, I still believe Brad is a very good attorney, and I would recom...mend him. I have always said this about Brad: he may not answer when you want him or need him, but he is always on time. When something needed to be filed, it was filed. His filings were strong, well written, thorough, and timely. His arguments were also very good, and I believe the substantive legal work he did on my case was excellent. I also don’t agree with many of the negative reviews below that place the entire responsibility for managing a case on the attorney. If you’re going to hire Brad—or any attorney—you need to know your own case. Read your filings. Know your court dates. Ask questions. Keep track of what is happening. Your attorney is there to advise you, advocate for you, prepare filings, and handle the legal work, but at the end of the day, it is your case. You have to be a team player too. An attorney may have many other clients; you should never hand someone your case and expect them to know and manage every detail while you remain completely uninvolved. Brad is also very direct. He’ll tell you himself that he can be arrogant, and I would say you need some tough skin to work with him. For most of our time together, that worked for me. Toward the end of my case, I was going through an extremely difficult period personally, and some of our interactions became harder for me. There were things said that hurt my feelings, and ultimately I decided I needed a different communication style and different representation. I don’t believe that takes away from the quality of the legal work he did for me. I also had a good experience with BrieAnn. She was always very sweet, helpful, funny, and accommodating when I needed assistance, especially during some of the more difficult periods of my case. Overall, I would recommend Brad to someone looking for a strong family-law attorney, particularly someone who is willing to stay actively involved in their own case. His communication and responsiveness can be frustrating at times, and his personality may not be the right fit for everyone. But when something mattered in my case, his work was there. He may not answer when you want him or need him, but he is always on time.
