Gary Blatter is the opposite of a lawyer you can trust.

When my wife and I first called Gary Blatter on the phone he portrayed himself as someone you could trust. He asked me if I would provide a document to him in an email that I told him about over the phone which contained a very important investigation and which concluded the individual who was the su...bject of the investigation was innocent. Then after providing this document to Gary Blatter, which I didn't have to do, he then turned around and knowingly misrepresented this document to the judge. Gary Blatter claimed the investigator on the document did not talk to anybody when the investigator talked to 4 direct contacts at length and obtained text message evidence. Gary Blatter knew the investigator talked to 4 individuals because it says who the investigator talked to on the document. So for him to claim to the judge that no one was interviewed on this investigation was a false claim that he knew was false. Gary Blatter also told the judge incorrectly that this investigation or the results of this investigation was not important and should not be listened to or considered which was also false. Because the organization that conducted the investigation is used routinely by courts as this organization is a gov't law enforcement agency. So for Gary Blatter to claim this gov't agency all of the sudden is not credible was not true. Gary Blatter then told the judge the document came to a conclusion that it never came to. In actuality the investigation concluded that the subject of the investigation was innocent. Thus Gary Blatter knowingly misrepresented 3 things: 1. How the investigation was conducted; 2. The importance or credibility of the investigation and 3. The true result or conclusion of the investigation detailed on this document. I was very upset that I provided this document to Gary Blatter for him to then turn around and knowingly make misrepresentations and false claims about it to the judge.

How is the guy still a member of the Bar?

I cannot believe this guy is still allowed to practice. Most incompetent attorney I’ve ever dealt with. Makes promises he can’t keep, gives horrible advice on which you base decisions, then ducks out when called on it. Gets in way over his head and tries to do things beyond his scope of practice, ...then leaves you holding the ball. I filed a massively documented complaint against him with the Bar, and they protected him. Just Google his history, though… then RUN!

Gary Blatter has been Publicly Reprimanded for a Reason - Should Lose his License

Gary Blatter should lose his license. He is the definition of dishonest. He should not be a practicing lawyer. You tell him 2 + 2 = 4. He will report to the judge that 2 + 2 = 5. All he does is misrepresent and mischaracterize the facts of the case, ie: makes false statements, ie: lies.

Think Twice, Think Again

My Experience and history with Mr. Blatter goes back many years. He was the attorney who represented my father with a family trust. Two days after my dads death the frustration began. This continued for years in civil court with filings for continuences, continuences, continuences, as well as miscon...duct in real estate distributions and sale of property. I sincerely hope anyone will think twice, do your own research and then consider not hiring this person that unfortunately has a law degree. Unless of course you have years to spend in court, and money to spend on costs that will go directly into Mr. Gary Blatters pocket.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2011.

Public Reprimand issued in UT, 2011

updated on 05/09/2013

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
