Ok so im writing this for all the parents who are batteling custody and thinking of hiring pilar...i was going through a custody battle i hired pilar to represent me not once during the 5 or 6 months she represented did she ask me to come in to talk not none of that...i was worried and she knew that ...well she called to say wgat she thought was gonna happen and that the 50 50 will stay the same since weve done it for 5 years now, well nothing like that happened pilar banked on my ex getting money from her ex husband who killed himsekf and was counting that as her income...we have a court date set and my ex is in the side room coming up with a strategy while pilar was no where to be found... she was late to my court date i couldent believe it then the judge looks right at her and says thats not a taxable income (ex husbands money to ex wife) so her whole plan blew up in our face...i asked pilar if there was a way to get the courts to talk to my kids she said absolutky not their too young, i did my own research and found out i coukd of had a custody evaluator this whole time...after taking thousands from me and literally only writing motions which im sure she has templates saved so she has to change minimal stuff from client to client after it was all said and done i expressed my frustration and asked why she called and egged me along her words were you shoukd be ok losing that cash either way which i am but im not ok with being leashed along. She will come at you saying shes so much cheaper and she will give you a discount but its literally not worth it she only takes cash and venmo so that was another red flag if you value your children and want someone who will fight for you in these confusing courts stay away from pilar
