Tyrie J. Strong

The owner of Strong Family Law, Tyrie Strong focuses on compassionate, zealous advocacy with an especial understanding of the needs for those who have dealt with domestic violence and coercive control. She earned her Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Washington at the age of 19, then worked at Intel on the team developing video compression over the internet. Motivated by a desire to improve the legal landscape for survivors of domestic violence, she later earned her Juris Doctorate Gonzaga University School of Law magna cum laude in 2021. She finds that the logical, precise, analytical methods of Software Engineering, along with their required attention to detail, transfer well to the legal field.

She began her career at Idaho Legal Aid, serving as their family law chair and gaining valuable experience with family law, traumatized clients, and issues affecting senior citizens. In September of 2023, Idaho Legal Aid awarded her their Justice Achievement Award. Then in 2024, she won an Idaho State Bar Public Service Award. Ms. Strong serves on the board of the Idaho State Bar’s Family Law Section and has previously served on the board of Safe Passage. She spends her free time reading, playing board games, and is active with her church.
