Very Rude
Went to Martha for a consultation. The whole time it seemed as she was more concerned about not going over the 60mins (which I paid $150 for). When I asked her to explain something she said, she literally said that this is the way it is and that I couldn't change it. That's fine, I wasn't looking to ...
I appreciate this feedback and will do my best to make sure people do not feel this way in the future. I had no opening at all for a few weeks, and because this person sounded like he really needed some direction, I said I would squeeze him in during my lunchtime. I explained in advance that I had a mediation session scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. and I would have to welcome the parties to my office a few minutes early. He had numerous questions and I tried my very best to answer as many as I could in the time we had. I explained I could schedule more time with him at another time, but I had to meet the people who had already arrived for the mediation session. That is why I was keeping my eye on the clock, not because I did not want to help him or spend more time. I try hard to not schedule people back to back like this for this very reason and will do my best to explain the time situation better in the future.

Unwilling to help after payment
Martha will do a decent job drawing up and submitting paperwork for you. However, be warned she is unwilling to speak with you after she has received payment. After calling Martha to ask for clarification on certain details of what she had written, I was called back by her receptionist and told Mar...
The rules governing mediators prohibit me from advising parties on how to deal with the other party. The rules also prohibit a mediator from giving legal advice to either party. When parties call for help after their case is finished because they need help dealing with the other party, I would happily schedule a mediation session, but am unable to assist one party against the other. I do my very best to explain my role as the mediator in writing immediately after parties schedule a session with me and also at the beginning of their mediation session. I always work to improve and appreciate this feedback. I will work harder to ensure parties understand my role before we begin mediation.

Absolutely wonderful!!
Martha helped my husband and I adopt our 2 foster kiddos. She was so kind and helpful with any questions we had along the way. At court she took care of everything and made sure we felt comfortable and calm. She is a wonderful attorney and I’m so thankful we used her.

And she easily got everything dismissed and my property returned. she was able to do this whithout me even having to go to court. I...
