Very impersonal talked one time on the phone otherwise all by email. Never met her in person at all. She writes a novel rather than picking up the phone. She does not educate you on what to expect nor does she keep you informed about what is happening in your case! I had to get a new lawyer afte...r two months in and a lot of money! I was referred to her and did not do my own reference checks on her which you should!

I met with Doty for a potential divorce case. I asked about basic retainer, hourly rates. She was unable to provide even ball park figures. She came across with a man-hater attitude. even referenced another case where the husband was trying to "screw over" the wife. When I asked about cases regarding... a dad getting full custody, she immediately was dismissive and told me it never happens. Again I asked about time involved 40-60 hours? for a case, she asked about assets. Her demeanor came across to infer the more assets involved the higher the cost would be. In seeking a potential attorney, I would expect them to be neutral in opinion until they had all the facts. I would not recommend this firm.
