I feel like the bad review was posted by someone who either didn’t have a case or was not listening to advice being given. Mackenzie did a great job for us and was always upfront and direct about our options. It was expensive but it was definitely worth the money we spent, as we tried a cheaper att...orney once and deeply regretted it. We never lost with Mackenzie and our case was a very unusual one. She did a great job. Custody cases are always difficult and emotional but attorneys are supposed to be professional and she was, and we always got prompt responses through email which was our main communication with her.

Mackenzie is generally unprofessional in how she conducts her business. Billing hours is the only thing she seems to care about. Conversation between client and attorney goes something like this, she talks over her clients, raises her voice, interrupts others, leading her client to believe that their... concerns, thoughts and feelings don't matter at all to the case, after all it's all about her. I get the feeling she genuinely enjoys listening to herself talk while her client struggles to get a word in. I always felt like she was missing the point during my entire custody case. Also, I expected her to demonstrate more confidence in her ability to negotiate even argue my case if needed; instead I watched her delay things with slow correspondence and she even failed to give deadlines to opposing counsel when presenting offers so we ended up waiting for weeks never knowing if we'd ever get a response. Her strategy seems to be ignore and delay and it will go away! Huge waste of money, eventually we settled out of court and I wrote the firm a fat check for $20,000.
