Steven Alexander Roll

Alex joined Duke Scanlan & Hall as an associate attorney in March 2018, and practices mainly in medical malpractice & other professional liability defense, insurance defense, and employment law. Alex grew up in the Denver, Colorado area. As an undergraduate, he worked as a legal assistant in firms whose practice areas include divorce & custody, evictions, debt collection, fair housing defense, and criminal defense. As a law student, Alex participated in national competitions as a member of the Moot Court Bar and spent a year working as a law clerk in the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office where he assisted in prosecuting homicide, internet crimes against children, drug crimes, insurance fraud, and public corruption cases. Alex was also a two-time CALI Award winner at USC, having earned the high grade in both Advanced Legal Writing and Trial Advocacy. Outside the office, Alex balances two oppositional passions: spending time with his family and playing golf.
