Jacob Dennis Deaton

I used Jacob for a DUI case. He pursued the case without giving me much information to work with or keeping me updated on current events. He would often give me half-handed answers or possibilities of what may or may not happen depending on the situation. He was also very expensive for the services t...hat he provided. I had expected better results for the amount of money that I had to pay. As I sat with him in court he did not appear to fight for my cause or my case at all. It seemed very robotic and very rehearsed as if my case were no different than the thousands he done before. He didn't treat me like a new person just another number on a manila folder. My case is still not completed as I'm coming to the end of my probation. And he will not answer my calls nor will he return any of my messages. So now I have to hire a new attorney in order to complete the entire process.

I was referred to Jake, and was immediately impressed by his intelligence and attention to detail. He listens vey well. However, the next day, I found him on this site and read 2 bad reviews. I brought my concern to Jake's attention. Come to find out this is how a lot of attorneys get rated when peop...le lose their case or when a competitor goes low. Sounds like this is a case of the latter. So I asked around and did my homework. Jake has an amazing reputation and a great relationship with the prosecutors office, and many local attorneys. Jake is respected and well liked. Anyway, he won my case on a very rare technicality and I'm almost certain another attorney could not have done what he did. Jake was responsive and never judged me for a second. I've heard he's now doing injury law and what a great fit. He's tough, extremely hardworking and I believe he fought for me like he would fight for his own family. I was lucky to have Jake on my team!

He did not show up for my hearing twice. He avoided my phone calls, never returned my calls. He avoided the courts phone calls and emails. I went to his office several times, not there. He never had a staff. I never received statements from him or paper work about my case. He didn't do that much work... on my case that he charge me $3600.00. I had to hire another attorney . Don't Throw Your Money Away On Him, please. He

Please avoid hiring this attorney. He's NEVER responsive and most importantly, failed to file my paperwork with Ada County...resulting in a warrant for my arrest. Rather than Jake Deaton trying to resolve this problem on my behalf, he NEVER even contacted the county to make them aware of this error ...that HE made. He's completely worthless!!!!
