Danielle C. Scarlett

As a lifelong Idahoan—fourth generation, and a third-generation Boise High grad—I care deeply about this community and the families who live here. I’ve been practicing law for 25 years, with more than 15 years devoted to family law. I started out at the Canyon County Prosecutor’s Office, where I built a strong foundation in litigation and client advocacy. After my younger daughter was born in 2007, I opened my own Nampa practice and spent years guiding people through custody disputes, divorces, and difficult transitions. In 2022, I stepped into a new role with the State Public Defender’s Office, representing juvenile clients and continuing my long-standing work with children through juvenile defense, child protection matters, guardian ad litem appointments, and family law cases. I returned to family law in January 2026, and on June 1, 2026, my husband, Greg Hardee, and I launched Hardee Scarlett PLLC. In custody matters, I focus on practical, fair outcomes that help clients move forward and reclaim life outside the courtroom. I’m a parent to two adult children, a stepparent to two more, and a devoted pet owner.
