OUTCOME: After 5-day jury trial, Court entered Final Judgment in favor of Plaintiffs and against Defendants.

Served as Plaintiffs' lead trial counsel in week-long jury trial. Plaintiffs sued Defendants for trademark infringement, breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition, and breach of fiduciary duty -- f ... ollowing a breakdown of the parties' relationship in business focused on importation of Chinese components. Skeels inherited case from another firm after summary judgment had already been granted, and a final judgment entered, against Plaintiffs. Skeels filed a successful motion for new trial, got the case back on track, added a claim for trademark infringement, and advanced the case to trial.

Lead counsel in patent infringement matter. Plaintiff Pure Data Systems ("PDS") filed suit against Ubisoft, Inc., alleging that Ubisoft infringed U.S. Patent Nos. 5,999,947 and 6,321,236, which relate ... to methods of and systems for distributing differences between data storage systems. Ubisoft moved to dismiss PDS's complaint, arguing in its "Alice" motion that the patents are directed to patent-ineligible subject matter under 35 U.S.C. § 101.
