Jeffery Thomas Van Fleet

Jeff has worked in both Wyoming and in Colorado as a licensed attorney with private law firms. He has gained experience handling multiple aspects of divorce cases involving property, debt, maintenance, children, as well as national and international enforcement of court orders. Additionaly, he has handled Civil cases, Immigration matters, Criminal Defense, Employment, trust and estate planning and litigation, and Real Estate matters.

Jeff followed a unique path to family law. After high school he proudly served this country in the United States Marine Corps. After honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, he continued serving his country for seventeen and one-half years in law enforcement. Working in these fields, Jeff saw firsthand the impact the law has on businesses and families - specifically children. Jeff wanted a career where he could assist indivuduals going through a legal process. He changed his career from law enforcement to attorney and counselor at law with a focus on the family and the needs of the family as a whole.

Jeff and his family take their desire to help others to the next step. Together they have facilitated a number of charitable events including raising funds and collecting of food for the local food bank, providing support and resources for victims of a major tornado, assiting wildfire victims, and collecting donations for the victims of hurricanes.

Jeff's diverse experience in life, school, and work has prepared him to handle the difficult challenges of the law with compassion and professionalism.
