We've got a lot of experience with attorneys both good and bad. Doug Larsen is a bankruptcy attorney in Grand Junction that came (initially) recommended by a hell of a good attorney in Denver (Mike Davis). Doug Larsen is also a trustee which seems to give him a bit of an egotistical attitude, he woul...dn't hear us out. I came in to help a friend of mine retain a bankruptcy attorney on her case. They were more than happy to take a full consultation fee only to have Doug tell us he doesn't have time and it's too complicated for him. I've got experience in the law myself and he wouldn't even provide any (correct) advice for the fee we paid, and he wouldn't even read in detail anything we gave him. I specifically asked him about production requests on a 2004 exam - gave him the document - and he wouldn't even read it, claiming that it was an entirely appropriate exam. The exam however, was by a vindictive woman who was requesting production of everything dating back to birth..... Doug Larsen, was however, very, very proud of himself and proud to announce he charges $225 an hour and "we can't afford him". Excuse me? Pretty narcissistic to assume people can't "afford" you without having any concept of what they have. He also incorrectly asserted case law. If you want to be charged 2x normal rates for 1/4 dedication, this is the attorney for you.
