Estate planning involves advising the client of options available, designing a plan for the client, drafting the documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.) to put that plan into effect. A good estate plan coordinates ownership of property and beneficiary designations on life insurance and retirement benefits with the overall plan. Estate administration means helping the family probate the will or administer the trust after a death.

I have significant experience with ERISA and tax-qualified benefit arrangements, and also with nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements for executives.
