Michael Wayne Champ

I consulted Mr Champ before I read these reviews He fought after two other attorneys Dropped my medical claim. He handled this through summary judgment and to arbitration. When I questioned him about these two complaints, he explained his health issues, the care giving he was providing his in-law...s and his failure to promptly respond to the State Bar. He was kind, helped me through all aspects of my case and satisfactorily concluded the matter. I have referred numerous family members and think little of these prior complaints. Life deals us some horrific cards and this man is my champion. Most interesting is that I contacted the Glendale referral service and there is NO record of Mr. Champ ever being on their referral list or a lodging of any complaint against him. I hope this site checks their facts better. It was because of this false claim that I made the decision to review M. Champ.

I completely agree with the review above-don't use this lawyer. Heres one for you... the Glendale lawyers referral service referred me to him. They said he was a "wonderful person, and very successful in his cases". Now they claim it must have been another service. I guess word of his "work" is ...getting around. This guy doesn't return phone calls, emails, denies registered letters-nothing. It's as though he's disappeared. His secretaries deny they are any longer his secretaries??? There's no point taking disciplinary action he'll only get a slap on the wrist and continue to practice. But if he gets enough he may get a small "fine"... small for a lawyer. Somehow I don't think that would ruffle his feathers. I'm at a point where I don't know what to do, other lawyers don't want the case as Champ will put a lien on it and get a portion of their profits. My accident's effected my ability to function but to quote the lawyers "at least you're not dead".

This attorney is the worst of the worst. In technical terms he "abandoned" our case, and left us in worse shape than before. This allowed the court to dismiss the case we had against our builder with prejudice, which prevented us from joining a class action law suit against the builder on additiona...l construction defects. He never communicated that the case was dismissed even after a year asking him what was happening with the case. It wasn't until we consulted with another attorney that we found out that the case was dismissed. We forwarded our case to the California State Bar for disciplinary action. His case with the Bar is apparently still under review. All I can say is RUN AWAY from this attorney... and RUN AWAY FAST.
