OUTCOME: The Second Circuit overturned the Bankruptcy Court's order, declared the life insurance policies to be exempt, and effectively changed the local bankruptcy rule permanently.

Mr. and Mrs. Wornick's life insurance policies were declared non-exempt assets by the Bankruptcy Court. We appealed to the District Court, then to the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan. ...
