Honestly, I retained Jackie because she had a great way of making you believe she will do anything and everything for her client. When she took my divorce back in November, she was in agreement that my ex violated the divorce petition and contempt was the best option. From the start of the contempt t...here were obvious red flags. When she wouldn't address the judge on certain things, and let OC run the show was when I started questioning what was going on. She allowed OC to drag out the first appearance due to them saying their client wasn't properly served. We knew he was and she didn't challenge it, causing more money to be wasted. From December to April we prepped, and finally we had a contempt court date for April. THE DAY BEFORE she calls me telling me she doesn't feel the case is strong enough and we should drop the contempt. This is after spending at least 7-10k on the contempt. Jackie told me she couldnt refund any money, however ahe wouldnt bill me for a certain dollar amount for my divorce. That sounded great but too bad she would never fulfill that. My ex had filed a contempt against me whi h she negotiated a deferred prosecution. While working on remedying the issues of that contempt, I couldn't get ahold of Jackie. I contacted the firm and asked to SPEAK to a senior. I needed to discuss proper ways to rectify the contempt since Jackie was unavailable so much. That night I got a nasty email from Jackie saying she would be withdrawing from my case due to reaching out to her firm. She claimed I told them she was "never available" and that I wanted to switch attorneys, which was not the case. Jackie could have handled that in a way better situation, but I firmly believe it was sent due to her not wanting to do the work she said she would after failing miserably to help me in the contempt
I can't say much as to how she handled my divorce as well. She didn't do anything except bill non stop . She never made any real agreements with OC. She never followed through when I asked her about submitting discovery, filing for an emergency forwidth status conference to discuss temporary orders(my former attorney missed that deadline but Jackie assured me TWICE we could do something about it) and filing a motion to compell. I spent well over 25k with Jackie to have her submit a request to withdraw 5 days before pre trial readiness, 9 days before a review hearing and 25 days before final orders. Not an attorney I'd recommend in the slightest
