Jimmy L. Litle

Jimmy Litle serves as the Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Right Law Group, where he brings nearly a decade of prosecutorial experience to his criminal defense practice. Before entering private practice, he spent eight years as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado’s 4th Judicial District, serving El Paso County from 2013 through July 2021. During that time, he prosecuted thousands of criminal matters ranging from misdemeanor offenses to complex homicide cases.

While in the District Attorney’s Office, Jimmy handled many of the most serious criminal prosecutions in the state. He served as the Lead Prosecutor for the Vehicular Homicide Team, worked within the Homicide Unit, and prosecuted cases as part of the Special Victims Unit. His work required extensive courtroom litigation, close collaboration with law enforcement agencies, and the management of highly complex investigations. This experience provided him with deep insight into how prosecutors investigate, charge, and build criminal cases—knowledge he now uses to defend individuals facing criminal charges.

At Right Law Group, Jimmy oversees firm operations across eight counties in Colorado. In addition to managing the firm’s legal and administrative teams—including three defense attorneys and twelve staff members—he maintains an active criminal defense practice. His background as a career prosecutor, combined with his leadership role within the firm, allows him to provide strategic guidance to both clients and attorneys while helping shape the firm’s overall defense approach.

Jimmy earned his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. While there, he also completed a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution through the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution. During law school, he participated in the First Year Moot Court Competition and was active in the Student Bar Association and Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. He also gained criminal law experience through an internship with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder. During his undergraduate studies, Jimmy earned several academic honors, including the Dean’s List and the University of Colorado Academic Excellence Award. He was also inducted into multiple national honor societies, including Golden Key International Honour Society, Gamma Sigma Alpha Greek Honor Society, Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. While at the university, he served as President and Treasurer of Alpha Gamma Omega Fraternity and was a student leader with CRU.
