Bad Representation

Both of the attorneys I had through Brett Martin's firm were sub par, they wasted time having frivolous conversations with opposing counsel and tried downplaying my needs as a targeted male in the system. Shana didn't take my case seriously and believed everything my manipulative ex put on paper whil...e she was trying to have my parental rights terminated, though she is no longer at the firm Martin did give her to me as the fathers rights attorney and she tried making me fold as a "guilty man" in spite of my general innocence every time I talked to her. She got me through the initial trial and was "supprised" to see my ex not able to support any of her claims after months and thousands of dollars worth of billed doubt from her... After Shana left the firm, My 2nd lawer through them was Matt Tanda and he was great up until we had to challenge the custody agreement due to ongoing abuse from his mom and her new husband. At a meeting with the department of human services to discuss a safety plan for my child, the state case workers told me that they didn't trust my ex to care for a child without supervision and Matt advised me to return my son to her abusive home because I was a man and it wasn't my right, he tried to reason that we didn't have a good enough foundation for him to go after physical custody... I fired Matt the same day, took a big hit with the $35,000 plus in shotty representation from this firm and moved on to a much more competent attorney. With better legal advice, and a huge uphill battle for 3 years following their misrepresentation, I have had my son's safe and sound in his own bed for the better part of 6 years now, Had I stayed with Martin law firm that never would have become a possibility due to the doubt and unprofessional suffocation of hope their attorneys put my family through. I hope nobody going through the nightmare that I had to deal with ever has to suffer such poor representation, I did reach out to Matt independently a few years back to let him know how everything turned out, I never got a response likely because the moral compass associated with this firm is skewed. To whoever might be reading this, best of luck to you and I and I recommend you find a better firm.
