On my worst days, I love to lay in a warm bed reading a good book by Stephen King or James Patterson. I watch American Horror Story on Hulu and Monster on Netflix. I listen to podcasts like Last Podcast on the Left and Stuff They Don’t Want You to Know. That media brings me joy, yet, it also informs me about true crime and other news.
I use inspiration from those, and other, media sources to create horror and speculative fiction stories and novellas. I composed a story about a deflationary cryptocurrency that starts World War 3. I drafted another about the internet forum Sanctioned Suicide and its potential intersection with medically assisted euthanasia. And I wrote a novella about Elliot Rodger, the incel manifesto killer. Indeed, season 3 of Monster is based on a novel called Deviant by Harold Schechter, therefore, I wanted to write a piece that was inspired by Elliot Rodger’s real manifesto, Catcher in the Rye, a short story called ‘The Yellow Wallpaper,” and “Jeremy” by Peal Jam.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in biopsychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado Law School. I clerked in Colorado’s criminal courts briefly. Then, I practiced as a solo divorce and child custody attorney for about seven years. Unfortunately, I suffered from a devastating brain injury in October, 2022. I had a seizure at a pub and I lost consciousness for about 20-30 minutes. Now, I focus on writing instead of practicing law.
I currently own three registered copyrights. One for a play called The Prisoner’s Dilemma; one short story collection called Women and Men: Two Stories, and the Elliot Rodger piece called Mr. Rodger Leaves His Calling Card.
I’m not sure what to do with my writing right now. It’s available fro free on Kindle and on my website. Please feel free to email or direct message me about my writing as a reader, agent, publisher, or just entertained audience member.

“James helped my son resolve multiple felony cases in two judicial districts. I was worried my son would wind up in DOC or the county jail after having trouble on probation. Luckily, James helped him resolve his court issues and avoid jail time.” — Teresa M
