Small Business Legal Services. As a small business owner, I understand the challenges of getting a business off the ground and on solid legal footing. Because many small businesses are understandably cost-conscious, I offer what’s called “unbundled” legal services, meaning you make the call regarding your business’ priorities and get and pay for the help you need most. All prices are up front, so you’ll know exactly what you’re paying for.

If you are just starting out and need a little help working through your business’ legal needs or are thinking about passing on your business to your family (or even your employees), I can help you plan for your business’ future. I love working with DIY’ers, and there are a lot of great self-help resources out there. If you’ve done some research or have been using a contract you put together and would appreciate the extra comfort of having a lawyer take a second look, I’m happy to provide a second set of eyes.

Specific Business Assistance. Some of the services I provide are: Helping choose a business structure based on your current needs and future goals (partnerships, LLCs, corporations), drafting business and corporate documents, so you can take advantage of business protections under Colorado laws, reviewing or writing business contracts (independent contractor, client services, leases, etc.), providing guidance for getting a trademark, website terms & conditions/privacy, business succession planning, powers of attorney.

Legal Entrepreneurs for Justice. I am pleased to be part of an 18-month legal incubator program, where I work along with a cohort of other committed attorneys and experts to make legal services accessible to more people in Colorado. I am dedicated to making legal services accessible and client-focused by offering predictable pricing, flexible representation options, and leveraging technology and innovation from other industries to increase client engagement and provide services efficiently and effectively. Although based in Nederland, my “office” includes mobile services. I have worked with clients across Colorado both electronically and in person. I am a graduate of the University of Denver, Sturm College of law, where I volunteered with Co.Starters (a small business incubator), participated in the Wills Lab (providing estate planning services for qualified clients), and earned a certificate in corporate and commercial law. I spend any free time I have backcountry skiing in the Indian Peaks or finding new mountain bike trails to scare myself properly on.
