BE AWAY OF THIS ATTORNEY..PLEASE OR YOUR SAKE.

This lawyer is very slow when it comes to filing motions ahead of time, especially in urgent matters. she has never returned calls back to me in a timely manner. sometimes i have to call her 3 x just to seek the answer i am needing. she shows up in court disheveled and unprepared, and does not... seek out information from me ahead of time (even though i have asked her to do so)for my defense, but asks me questions while court is actually in session, and she is very insulting both verbally, and emotionally when asked a question, and she doesn't agree with my answer or rolls her eyes at me. She is not a very good problem solver, and forget about her multi-tasking. she even said doesnt know how to handle one of her clients as she gave me a name (that is confidential). I hope this person that she names has requested another court appointed attorney. nobody deserves to be treated like this or given their information out like this, i am very dissapointed in this Court-appointed attorney and am in the process of trying to eliminate for her many mess ups, and terrible behaviour. she is extremely afraid of social services and uses no common sense when dealing with them. she will not go up against them even if they have done wrong or have went against someones rights. she is also verbally abusive when doesnt like a question her client asks her. i feel this woman has so many court appointed clients, that she doesn't know John from Jane. Please whatever you do if you , if you are appointed this attorney for whatsoever reason, please ask the judge to appoint you someone different. i only hope the best for her, but she really needs to thing about her clients more than she does herself, or else have the City Attorney lessen her load. I know from experience that when in Court you have to more or less be prepared on your own. She is a social worker turned Lawyer. also, she tried to talk her clients from things that are very important, and will refuse to get a file for you if you ask her too. some files lawyers are able to get and some files us regulars can get on our own. please, please steer clear, or you will regret it. she is not proactive at all, especially when filing motions, she waits til the last minute so the defense can have a better change of winning. not does she follow the rules of compliance in courts, or spend much time with her patients. unfortunately she does whereas other attorneys have their ducks lines up in a row and ready and waiting to defend their clients, she struggles just to find them, much less be prepared. please stay clear of this woman. you are better off being your own attorney as she has refused to help me at all. i had to do my own defense. i have finally asked the judge that i know longer want her as my lawyer. when judge Ashby seen the information that was presented, she agreed. wish me luck please, next time i will get a better one. just want to add this. that while in court, she doesnt spend time with her client, but spends time speaking to other lawyers, workers, etc laughing and carrying on, when she should be prepping her clients, she is out visiting her colleagues.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
