Jennifer Reba Edwards

Hello! 

I have been an animal advocate my entire life. A strong science and veterinary background is bery helpful in what I do. I started practicing Animal Law in 2006. The work I’ve done over the years has created a better legal landscape for animals judically and legislatively. I have been practing quite a while and only take on certain cases and spend much of my time now educating and helping others. Currently I am doing wuite a bit of consulting nationwide. I enjoy helping other lawyers all over with their cases. I speak publicly around the country and beyond about animal legal issues and train other practitioners. I have spent a lot of time over the years being a mentor for young lawyers and law students. I participate and develop training programs in all areas such as training police officers to better handle dog encounters and thus decrease dog shootings. I am a frequent guest and legal commentator on local and national media. I also enjoy drafting legislation, testifying in front of legislative bodies, and helpjng to create change for issues I am passionate about. 

To further my goals, I founded a non-profit called Animal Justice Center in 2013. This encompasses TEAR programming and has the changed lives of human and non-human animals alike. In 2018, I founded 14 Hands Ranch to further implement the TEAR programming and create a sanctuary to implement, share and utilize the powerful human-animal bond to heal and create wellness.
