Jessica Walker is my hero. I met Jessica in the darkest time of my life. “Innocent until proven guilty” is foundational for every American, however the harsh reality is we have been robbed of this freedom and are now guilty until proven innocent. Falsely accused and incarcerated, I had lost ...all hope in the justice system and the values I held to be true. In a moment, the sweet anthem I recited all the days of my life, “One nation under God, with Liberty and justice for all,” felt like false propaganda. The day I met Jessica is the day HOPE came back into my life. Jessica has fought for me, my freedom, and my future. She has been essential in restoring my faith in not only the justice system, but mankind. Jessica has gone above and beyond for me in the legal battle of my lifetime. She is phenomenal at what she does. Jessica has worked on weekends, late nights, and even on her vacation in full pursuit of justice. Her actions reveal that being a lawyer isn’t just a her job, it’s her calling. I thank God every day for the freedom I now have because of Jessica Walker, My Defender.
