Paul Stuber’s path to law began in Michigan, where he grew up. At the University of Michigan, he studied English and Oral Interpretation and pursued his lifelong passion for music. He sang with the Michigan Men’s Glee Club, including a championship trip to Wales, and played trumpet in the Michigan Marching Band, performing at major bowl games and the Rose Parade. Paul received his J.D. from the Detroit College of Law in 1982, balancing a full-time clerkship with night classes during his last two years. After passing the Michigan Bar on the first try and working at a Detroit firm, he helped modernize its estate planning practice by moving it onto computers. Seeking a better place to build a life, he moved to Colorado, passed the bar on his first attempt, and has run his own office since May 1983. Estate planning, and criminal defense, and particularly DUI, have been his core focus.
I am working almost exclusivily now with estate planning and trust preparation.
On a personal level: I met my wife here in Boulder and we have two brilliant children.
Music remains an important part of my life and I sing in many choirs, I am the section leader for FUMC in Boulder and have been a soloist for choirs including the Boulder Bach Festival.

Perseverance and compassion
this case involved a second DUI where the expected outcome was jail time. Mr. Stuber stuck with the case through some difficult times. Mr. Stuber obtained an appeal and our family member received home detention allowing him to continue in school.
