Carmen S Danielson

I had a small employment law case--but very important to me. I think most lawyers would have concluded it wasn't worth their time, and would have declined to help. Of the small fraction of lawyers who would have taken on the case, probably most would have advised me to sue so they could run up their... hours and bills. Carmen Danielson is remarkable, because she 1) took the case and 2) advised me to pursue a course of action that was best for me, partly because it minimized my legal expenses (her income). What's more, she always answered my phonecalls or emails immediately and in a clear, smart, responsive and helpful way. (I used to practice law myself, and have to admit I never got back to people that fast.) Carmen is also a compassionate listener and gifted communicator in face-to-face meetings. She is absolutely extraordinary, and I recommend her enthusiastically, without reservation.

I first had the pleasure of working with Carmen in 1993. She has been my personal attorney on such matters as labor law, publishing, contract reviews, divorce attorney referrals and child issues. Among Carmen's strengths is her communication style. She consistently statused me on whatever we ...were working on. I have always been impressed with her timely handling of issues and on more than one occasion she gave expert advice that prevented litigation where she would have profited personally. Most recently she successfully handled a case where my book agent had swindled me out of close to $40,000 in royalties. Without her working with both the book agent's attorney and the New York State Attorney's office I would still be without my royalties. She successfully obtained my back royalties this year for which I will be eternally grateful. This is just the most recent example of her professionalism and dedication to her clients. She has been my attorney since 1993 and will be continue to be whenever I need legal assistance.
