Fantastic Foster/Adoption Experience

When we became foster parents two years ago, we never could have foreseen what was ahead for us as parents to unknown children at that time. We had no idea that we would have any involvement in the legal process of a foster child’s case and definitely did not intend to beyond observation. On our fir...st visit to court nearly six months into our sons case, we were asked a question about being interested parties vs. interveners and had no idea what that meant. None of the attorneys would tell us. After court, a bio-parent’s representative recommended that we hire an attorney and gave us the name of Tim’s office. We hesitated. It didn’t seem like our place nor necessary since our foster son had his own GAL. However, a few months later, after a report was released stating the potential harm that would result with another home move for our foster son, and discovering that the county was still taking the position for him to move, we called and spoke to Tim. We felt very much at east after that initial call, we could tell Tim was a great fit and that he really seemed to care about kids and their best interest and had an ethical approach to how he would handle himself in the courtroom. Tim never surprised us with anything and always spoke honestly about what could happen and did not offer us false hope. His knowledge of both the legal system and foster care system is extensive and he was well versed in all of its’ many laws. Tim explained things to us honestly and clearly throughout the process. He represented us for over a year and through two lengthy, contested hearings. Our nerves were well at ease within the courtroom with Tim being the best attorney in the room by far and explaining things to us in “non-legal” talk outside the courtroom. He was professional, kind and full of grace. We could not have hired a better man for the job. Our foster son had been through a lot in a short period of time and we’re so thankful that he has been given the gift of stability! Thanks to Tim, we now look forward to his adoption day in a few short months.

Tim Eirich Our Hero!

Tim Eirich came highly recommended. We needed his expertise to help us obtain records, negotiate subsidy and move towards adoption for our 11 year old foster/adopt son. When he met us we were frustrated, confused, overwhelmed, and angered by the inadequacies of the foster care system & its refus...al to provide us with the tools we needed to help our son heal. Tim got right to work and got us what we needed. He's an excellent listener and a straight shooter. Always professional, friendly and upbeat Tim uses his time wisely, bills fairly, and advocates with a strong voice. We recommend him highly. He's passionate and sincere about his career & helps families form successful adoptions.

Foster to Adopt

Tim was invaluable in bringing comfort to our family during the challenging process of adopting our son from foster care. Initially, he came highly recommended from at least 10 individuals that had no connection to one another. When we first met him in our consultation meeting he displayed a pletho...ra of knowledge in child welfare and gave it to us in layman’s terms. We liked the fact that his background in law related to defending children through the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center. He showed a compassionate quality that gave us confidence in his ability to help us. We sensed he could also relate to our plight because of having children of his own. After hiring him, Tim worked fervently in obtaining all of the relevant information that was needed in eventually winning our case. Tim was flexible, adaptable and accountable throughout. He was respectful to the extended family which will allow us to maintain future contact with our son's biological family. For our son's sake this was very important. In the courtroom, he once more proved to us why we hired him. That day in court he wrapped himself around our worries and fears like a warm, comfortable blanket on a chilly morning. That day was a grandiose culmination of all the hard work he had put into representing our family. We are grateful that Tim entered into our lives. He is first and foremost, a great person, and just happens to be fantastic lawyer, too.

Personable and Knowledgeable

Tim is VERY well versed in Colorado Adoption Law. We called his firm based on the several recommendations from local and national adoption agencies as well as recommendations from friends that have used his firm. Tim helped us finalize the adoption of our infant son. He made the rather complex proce...ss go very smooth (or at least seem smooth on our end). He made my husband and I feel very comfortable with the process. Tim is a very personable guy. We appreciate personable and friendly in what can seem like a never ending journey to parenthood.

Tim Eirich was VERY helpful!

Tim came highly recommended to us. After working with him, I can clearly see why! He was very knowledgeable and clear in explaining the law and our course of action; and, at the same time, he was very caring and helped as much about minimizing our stress as he was in the legal aspect of our case. ...As foster parents, Tim helped to protect our rights. According to the person who referred us to Tim, he is helping to write law in Colorado around the very issue of foster parent rights. So, for us and our needs, he was a perfect match! An added bonus is that Tim was willing to meet with us in his satellite office because it was closer for us and he was also willing to meet and talk by phone after traditional office hours. This was very helpful in terms of convenience. I highly recommend Tim! His knowledge of adoption law and his professionalism helped us with this very stressful time in our adoption process!

Tim brings to his practice and representation a sense of calm and organization, in what is often a chaotic and highly charged situation. Tim is up to date on the law. He is well known, and respected by his colleagues and the bench. Most importantly, Tim is a gentleman."
