Katherine Markheim Lee

Ms. Lee is the founding and managing member of Lee + Kinder, LLC. She is a graduate of the University of Denver (B.A. 1987; J.D. 1993). Ms. Lee is admitted to practice in the state of Colorado, the state of Utah (inactive), the United States District Court for the state of Colorado, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has devoted her practice to defending employers and insurance companies, and focuses on workers’ compensation cases and employment-related issues.

Ms. Lee acts as a consultant and lectures to a variety of employers and insurance companies on workers’ compensation law.  She is a member of the Denver, Colorado, and American Bar Associations, and has been rated AV, the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review, since 2006.  Ms. Lee was successful in acquiring Firm certification as a WBE with the Women’s Business Enterprise Council in November 2012 and with The National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms in 2013.

In addition, Ms. Lee was, for the third consecutive year, honored by her peers to be named a Colorado Super Lawyer.  For the second consecutive year, Ms. Lee was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2016 in the area of Workers’ Compensation Law – Employers (Copyright 2015 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, SC).

Ms. Lee was selected Best Lawyers’ 2017 Denver Workers’ Compensation Law – Employers “Lawyer of the Year“.
