Jason Ross Gardner

Jason Gardner has had a very non-traditional career for an attorney, but one which has been dedicated to advocating for and helping people at every step in his career. He has a very analytical mind and is a consummate problem solver, as he spent over 23 years in the Information Technology field working his way up to be an IT Director prior to his career in law. Additionally, Jason has worked in sales, managed businesses, and was even a Combat Engineer in the U.S. Army. He believes in working hard and doing what is right all of the time. His analytical and logical approach towards each case he takes on, along with his passion for helping people and his very calming and personable manner have served his clients very well throughout his career.

Jason is a Colorado native, who graduated from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law Evening Program in 2011, while working full-time as an IT Director. The Part-Time Evening Program at the University of Denver is consistently ranked among the best in the nation. Jason was very active at the University of Denver as a member of the Law School’s Student Bar Association as a Senator and Vice President, a member of the Christian Legal Society, and as an officer in the Federalist Society. He also interned for the National Conference for State Legislators, the Independence Institute, and Holsinger Law, LLC during law school.

After graduation Jason began working as a Trust and Estate Attorney. After a brief hiatus working with the State of Colorado as a Contracts Manager, Jason turned to litigation, gaining additional trial and litigation skills, as both a Deputy District Attorney with the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and then as a Probate Litigator. While serving as a Deputy District Attorney, Jason found he had a passion for working with people and tackling the constitutional issues associated with trial work in the criminal law field. Jason chose to leave probate litigation to return to criminal law and help people more directly as a criminal defense attorney with the Sawyer Legal Group, LLC for five years, before moving on to start his own firm and continuing to work directly with his clients at the Law Offices of Jason R. Gardner, LLC.
