The firm she is working at pushed me to pay the consultation fee before hiring them for my child custody case (FYI, there are firms which do the consultation for free like the one I hired). I literally did not need any consultations because I was working with couple of attorneys in unbundled basis at... the time and was knowledgeable about the case. After half an hour useless information exchange, they sent me an agreement to sign. Then, she started talking about an scheduled hearing and her availability which did not make sense to other attorneys and even Human Services office. She did not seem knowledgeable about the related law. Eventually, the whole experience led to hiring another firm to represent me that I am happy with them, so far.
