Michelle Lee McCarthy

Michelle McCarthy is a Partner with Murray & McCarthy Law in Denver, Colorado specializing in business, real estate, and estate law.  

Ms. McCarthy received her Masters in Taxation from University of Denver, and is an Adjunct Professor with the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.

Ms. McCarthy is the Chair of the Law School Outreach Committee of the Tax Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association.  She is a published author of the recent tax law changes in Colorado concerning marijuana, and participates in legislative updates for upcoming tax bills in Colorado.

Prior to forming Murray & McCarthy Law with attorney Tyler Murray, Ms. McCarthy worked at Gantenbein Law Firm practicing business, tax, real estate, and probate law.  Prior to joining the Gantenbein Law Firm Ms. McCarthy worked at Edward Dale Parrish, LLC on tax, estates, and securities litigation.  As an associate she attended legislative hearings on excise tax issues, and has participated in an early neutral evaluation in the Federal District Court. At Boog & Cruser, Ms. McCarthy worked on civil and criminal tax litigation in addition to assisting clients on corporate formations and choice of entity issues.

Ms. McCarthy volunteered at the low income tax clinic for 2 years and is committed to giving back to the citizens of Colorado.  She strives to remain connected with the business and tax communities in Colorado and has served as numerous chairs on the Colorado Bar Association, Tax Section.
