The first day I consulted with Mr. Merkel his listening skills and the direct questions he asked told me he understood what the pros and cons of going forward would be like and that he had full knowledge of the law. Hiring Mr. Merkle gave me access to a strong team to support me legally and emotiona...lly, as I went forward. He took the pressure off me from negative contact and assured me that calling him, emailing my questions, running thoughts, or frustrations through him would help him stay up to date and ease my worrying. His questions also helped me to look deeper into the issue at hand. He was always up-front sharing the pros and cons of the choices I had to make. His knowledge of worker’s comp. law is razor sharp. If he had questions about a law or situation, he would refer to his partners for their thoughts and strategies. I admire people who include others with qualifications verses suggesting based on their best guess. He treated me with great respect at all times! I felt valued and a part of the team making decisions. That is amazing as my case went on for more than a year and a half. With all the hoops I had to jump through I was made ready by Mr. Merkel. I never went in to situations without full knowledge of what to expect. I could write a book on this firm and Mr. Merkel, but I will end by sharing that going in expecting no money, but needing other help he was able to show just cause of many areas I was due compensation. He stood firm for what we believed I deserved, and I received it.
