Jeffrey R. Schell

Originally the founder of prominent Denver patent law firm Rocky Mountain Patent, he merged the practice with a major national law firm in 2018 following his successful exit in a separate medical device firm. He later invested and became involved in several other Colorado startups and the Rare Air Venture Studio.

Jeff brings a wealth of varied experience to his practice of law. Jeff was a delegate at the Harvard China-India Development & Relations Symposium. ColoradoBiz Magazine named Jeff one of the 25 "Most Influential Young Professionals in Colorado.” He was also a finalist for the Denver Post's "Colorado Innovator of the Year" and "Denver Trailblazer" awards. In 2017, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock invited Jeff to participate in Denver's official trade delegation to South Africa and Kenya. Jeff also served as the President of TiE Denver, a member of the Denver Downtown Partnership Economic Development Council, and has been a representative on multiple boards in the years since.

Jeff attended Northwestern University, graduating with degrees in Engineering and Economics in 2004. He subsequently earned his JD and masters degrees in International Studies and Medical Informatics. Jeff separately studied economics at Harvard University.
