Whether engaged in environmental due diligence, regulatory permitting and compliance or litigation, Fritz’s clients need expert guidance on all matters of environmental and natural resources law, including recovering damages for diminution in value to clients’ property as a result of contamination.  With more than 15 years of experience, Fritz offers a unique blend of expertise and perspective gained through technical education and representing clients in complex litigation and the energy, mining and natural resources sectors on matters relating to regulatory compliance, permitting and project development.  He has successfully represented clients in class action lawsuits, commercial litigation, environmental citizen lawsuits under the Clean Water Act and Resource Conservation Act, and potentially responsible parties in cost recovery and natural resource damage actions under the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act.

Fritz has been interested in environmental and natural resources stewardship since before college.  He spent two years as a government relations consultant representing large and medium flood and storm water management agencies before the United States Congress, Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers in Washington, D.C.  This has translated into a desire to assist clients in managing their resources and environmental risks in a legally sound and cost-effective manner.  Introduced to the courtroom in law school and clerkships, Fritz developed a penchant for trial practice that rivals his interest and dedication to his passion environmental and natural resources law.  Fritz is continually challenged and intrigued by his practice, which drives his success every day.
