Joseph Reiben

Joseph Reiben has been a licensed attorney in Illinois since 2008, and has worked for firms in both Chicago and Denver with concentrations in tax, business and bankruptcy law. In 2016 the opportunity arose to begin working with clientele in the cannabis and blockchain industries, and from this, framework was laid for Reiben & Velvis.

Joseph has worked with a multitude of entrepreneurs and start-up businesses, assisting them with setting up business models that promote future success, as well as drafting all accompanying documentation and obtaining relevant licenses both domestically and internationally. Joseph has also steered multiple crypto companies through the ICO, or Initial Coin Offering, process, having worked to ensure governmental and regulatory compliance in jurisdictions such as Malta, Switzerland, Singapore, the UK, Cayman Islands, Estonia and the United States. He has also worked with numerous state Securities Divisions in the United States to ensure compliance domestically for crypto and blockchain companies and to facilitate beneficial relationships for businessses of oall sizes.

Joseph has also been an active trader of crypto currencies since 2014, which led to a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of how the markets operate from a technical standpoint, contributing to his ability to assist clients with the legalities of tokenization through ICO,s and STO’s. By doing so, he has also been invited to speak about crypto regulation on the NASDAQ trading floor as well as other engagements.
