I would advise against anyone in their right mind paying money to hire Erin in private practice, and if she was assigned as court appointed counsel to look for better options. Erin was contracted to be my court appointed counsel on an appeal. My experiences span the time of about 9 months. She was v...ery hard to reach from the get go, which slowly became evasion in answering the most basic questions via email. She had told me "the appeals process isn't one which she needed to communicate with me very often". In turn I asked to be simply kept up to date on deadlines imposed by the courts, filings she made, and any pertinent changes to the case. These requests were ignored. After a period of time I contacted her to get updates, she told me she was ready to file a brief to the appeals court and would contact me on Friday. Instead of her ever attempting to contact me, I was contacted by my trial attorney with an email from the appeals court stating that the deadline to submit the brief had passed and the judge dismissed my case due to her failure to file. She did nothing for me, in fact she hurt my chances to litigate a defense and cost me damages in costs associated with initiating the appeal. No apology, no excuses, just ghosted me while working in a capacity that was supposed to be on my behalf I would not be surprised if this was an under the table deal. Watch out for her!
