Sharyn Beers

Back in 2006 I went through a very ugly and complicated divorce that included 3 children. We went through a trial that lasted almost 2 years during which I had gone through 2 different law firms in Long Island that although were well known in the community, did a poor job handling my ex-husband, his ...lawyer and a child's legal guardian that seemed to favor my ex-husband in supreme court. To make the long story short: I was many times bullied in a very 1-sided courtroom. Both lawyers I retained during my ongoing case had a lot of knowledge in the legal system but even so, had a difficult time handling my case because it became stressful and ridiculous to deal with all the none sense my ex-husband and his attorney brought to the table. After my divorce and final custody and child support settlement, I moved to South Carolina and began to deal with harassment from my ex-husband constantly petitioning against me at Nassau Family court. Because I was now out of state I was not able to make the scheduled court appearances but instead do them via telephone conference hearings. Literally every other month I was summoned to appear because my 3 daughter’s father continued to use the court to harass me distantly. I looked up several attorneys in NY to help me deal with my ex-husband’s harassment and failure to comply with child support. No one was willing to help me. Thankfully I found Ms. Beers through another law firm that recommended her to me. During our initial phone consultation Ms. Beers offered me hours of legal advice. I was surprised that she did not rush me off the phone and answered every single question I had. I retained Ms. Beers to appear in court for me and unlike the attorneys before her, she has since been able to get my ex-husband off my back! She even got him to do what almost seemed impossible for any other lawyer to do: pay child support. As I mentioned before, my case has been very complicated but Sharyn Beers knew exactly how to deal with it without any intimidation like the other attorneys I invested or should I say, wasted thousands of dollars on. Sharyn Beers went above and beyond for me. Realistically, I could no longer afford all the countless hours of legal advice and emails that to do this day she continues to offer whenever I have any questions. Unlike may other law firms, Sharyn Beers makes herself available throughout the day or is extremely quick to respond to her messages. If I had anymore $ I would certainly pay Sharyn Beers more then her charges for legal services because she has gone above and beyond her fees. There is more I can say but it would take much more space to fill so to sum it up: I highly recommend Sharyn Beers to anyone in and out of state that is looking for a professional and honest attorney to handle your case in New York.
